To use the timer, simply hold down the space bar until the time in the middle of the screen turns green. At that point, upon releasing the space bar, the timer will start, and won't stop again until a key is pressed, at which point it will stop and log your time.
In addition to timing your solves and calculating averages and statistics, this timer also generates scrambles for each solve, which can be seen at the top of the screen. You are welcome to use these scrambles, which are stored along with each time, or hand scramble the cube yourself.
The timer supports the storage of multiple sets of times as well. You can select a different event at the top of the screen, which includes most common WCA events as well as an "Other" category. It does not currently support the creation of custom events.
I'm Professor L! I'm seventeen years old, and I have about two and half years of computer science experience under my belt. I intend to major in it in college to further my mastery, but in the mean time I'm trying to make the most of my free time by bettering my frontend web development skills. Building sites like this one helps me maintain and hone my prowess in preparation for the future.
I also take an interest in music, and you can check out my Soundcloud if you want to have a listen to some of my work. My other hobbies include Rubik's Cubing (unsurprisingly), Tetris, and creative writing. Oh, and as tradition dictates, here's a link to my GitHub as well as a link to this project speficially.
You can email me at any point with questions, comments, bug reports, or even just to say hi! The address is ProfessorLWebDev@gmail.com, and I'll try to get back to you as quickly as I can, though it may be a few day since I'm working two jobs over the summer.
Beacuse of the amount of time I devote to this project, donations via PayPal are much appreciated. If this site recieves substantial support, I'll set up a Patreon page and pay for hosting on a custom domain, but until then GitHub Pages hosting will suffice.
